Introducing VisionCheck, our second-generation CES-award winning vision test, powered by MIT-patented technology. With VisionCheck, you can gain valuable insights into your refractive error, including nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism.

The EyeQue VisionCheck app is suitable for individuals who meet the following criteria:
<ul>
 <li>Have a single vision prescription between +8.00 and -10.00</li>
 <li>Have a cylinder between 0 and -5.00</li>
 <li>Are ages 25 and older</li>
 <li>Want to track their vision</li>
</ul>

On the other hand, individuals who should refrain from using the EyeQue VisionCheck app include:
<ul>
 <li>Those with light sensitivity</li>
 <li>Individuals who are colorblind or have difficulty differentiating between red and green</li>
 <li>Those who require a prism measurement</li>
 <li>Individuals who have difficulty holding up a smartphone while navigating the screen</li>
 <li>People with medical conditions that affect their eyes or eyesight, such as glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, or cataracts.</li>
</ul>

The VisionCheck utilizes MIT-patented Inverse Shack-Hartmann technology to measure where light focuses on the back of your retina. By attaching the VisionCheck to your phone, you can take a vision test using your smartphone as a light source. The test involves taking multiple measurements at different angles, represented by merging a red and green line into a solid yellow line.

Please remember that this is a self-administered vision test, and results may vary. Our test performance feedback provides instant insights into your testing ability and offers resources for improving test performance.
